RCGP Annual Primary Care Conference

With a theme of ‘Forward Together: How we lead primary care to the next level’, the conference will feature interactive lectures and workshops, new initiatives and the latest research from the field of primary care. Highlights include NHS Question Time, the College’s own version of the BBC’s topical debate show, and talks from co-founder of the Eden Project Sir Tim Smit. Also among the speakers will be: Dr Zoe Williams, RCGP physical activity champion; Prof Amanda Howe, President of WONCA; Prof Helen Stokes-Lampard, Chair, RCGP; Prof David Haslam, Chair, NICE; and Dr Roger Neighbour, GP communication skills expert. The conference opens with up to 1,300 GPs in the auditorium, who will be welcomed by RCGP President Dr Terry Kemple and hear addresses on the state of general practice and the NHS, including from British Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt.
